I love dogs, always have; so much so that when I left my corporate career, I went to dog grooming school and became a dog groomer. Unfortunately, the physicality of that occupation meant that I had to retire from the best job in the world after 5 years. But I learned that working with my hands brings me joy and anything dog-related makes me happy.
Over the years my home has evolved to become what I like to call
The Midwestern Museum of Random Dog Art
To add to that joyful design aesthetic, some years ago I refinished a couple of vintage chairs that I had and reupholstered them in dog patterned upholstery fabric. Happy!
Later I covered a tissue box with the leftover fabric. And then another. And another. Joyful sniffles!
Oh and I paint. I paint dogs, of course. And other animals. And the occasional non-animal.
Now Bert and Ralphie, my two certified retail therapy dogs, and I want to spread all this happy to others.
